Qualifications

• Associates/Technical degree with coursework in building construction.
• 1-3 years' experience in plan checking or building construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Review residential construction plans and structural documents
• Ensure compliance with building codes, city policies, and ordinances
• Coordinate plan review with engineering, fire, and planning departments
• Interpret blueprints, calculations, and construction specifications
• Perform field inspections when necessary
• Communicate corrections or code requirements to contractors and developers
• Maintain plan review records and reports
