Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Stocking Clerk in Indiana to keep shelves stocked and ready for customers. You will ensure fast, friendly service and assist with merchandising and stocking duties across a busy store environment.

This entry‑level role emphasizes reliable attendance, basic technology use, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while working as part of a collaborative team in a fast‑paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Able to follow processes in an organized, efficient way.
• Enjoys working as part of a team to meet shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back‑room areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.
