Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to help keep shelves stocked and the store running smoothly. You will stock shelves with a variety of grocery items, move products from pallets to correct locations, and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized backroom.

This entry level role offers overnight shifts, weekly pay, and opportunities for development and education assistance within a family company that cares about teammates, customers, and the communities we serve.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Ability to work in a team and support shared goals.
• Friendly, customer-focused approach in a retail environment.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of grocery products.
• Move products from pallets to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in backroom areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You'll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated backroom areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
