Sandoval County is seeking a Planning Assistant to support the Planning & Zoning Department. The role handles front counter customer service, reviews land use and permit applications, and assists with data entry and document preparation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with staff, helping applicants with site plans, and preparing staff reports for public meetings. A valid NM driver’s license is required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED plus two years of admin support experience in planning or related field.
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to public inquiries and provide information on zoning rules and permits.
• Review applications for completeness and enter data into WorQ-Incode.
• Assist property owners and consultants with site plans and related documents.
• Coordinate with staff and review agencies on permits and plan reviews.
• Prepare staff reports and presentations for Planning & Zoning actions.
• Support agenda/minutes/prep of public notices and notifications.
