Responsible for administrative work which requires excellent communication, comprehension, organization, and time management skills. Work is performed under the administrative direction of the Development Director or designee.
- Provides technical assistance and provides information to the public and staff in the administration of specific planning and zoning program areas and regulations.
- Assists the Public concerning Development Department regulations and processes. Coordinates with developers, and other County departments.
- Develops and maintains tracking systems, hard copy and electronic files and records of development orders, permits and other related documentation.
- Prepares narrative staff reports and recommendation of limited complexity, such as special use permits and variances.
- Research and compiles information on a variety of planning issues from multiple sources. Prepares maps, charts, or tables of limited complexity.
- Performs administrative functions such as answering telephones, assisting clients, responding to emails, and serving as the Clerk to the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustments.
- Prepares public notice ads, property postings, and mailings as necessary and attends public meeting to assist planning staff as requested and as appropriate.

High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) years of progressive experience in local government planning and/or development processes.
Special Qualifications:
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Florida driver’s license.
