Strategic Resilience Group seeks an experienced planning support professional to track actions, capture notes, and refine briefings for planning products. You will coordinate across staff sections, maintain document control, and assist with exercises as needed.
The role requires strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with PowerPoint and Word to produce clean, professional outputs.
Track actions, suspense dates, and follow-ups to keep teams aligned and on schedule
Capture meeting notes and turn them into clear outputs (taskers, summaries, read-aheads)
Build, format, and refine briefings (PowerPoint) and written products (Word)
Support research and basic analysis to inform planning decisions
Draft and edit sections of planning products as directed (staff estimates, slides, plan/order inputs)
Coordinate across staff sections to gather inputs and ensure timely delivery
Maintain document organization and version control in government systems (SharePoint/Teams, etc.)
Support exercise planning tasks when needed (coordination, inject/MSEL support, AAR inputs)
4-6 years of experience in planning, operations, exercises, or staff support (military, civilian, or contractor)
Comfortable working in a structured environment with taskers, suspense dates, and quick turnarounds
Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with PowerPoint and Word (ability to produce clean, professional products)
Familiarity with JP 5-0 and/or Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) concepts
Experience supporting OPT/JPT efforts, exercises, or higher headquarters staff work
Exposure to OPORD/FRAGORD/CONPLAN/OPLAN products
Comfortable using collaboration tools and shared workspaces (SharePoint/Teams)
