Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Planning Specialist I for its WPB Fulfillment team in New Stanton, PA. You will support timely delivery of mechanical and breaker products for nuclear plants, reporting to the Planning Manager.

This anchor role will be onsite five days a week for the first six months, with flexibility to work remotely 1–2 days weekly after training. You will track orders, forecast progress, and collaborate across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or related field.
• 0–2 years of planning experience (or equivalent education/experience).
• SAP experience (production, requisitioning, material master data) is a plus.
• Familiarity with contract review and interpretation is desirable.
• Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical manufacturing drawings is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Track & Forecast: Monitor order progress and maintain updates in the MRP system.
• Prioritize work requests, assign priorities, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support Production: Issue shop travelers and pick lists for in-house builds.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Estimate labor and lead times with engineering and technicians.
• Coordinate Resources: Requisition materials and services with Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Ensure Quality: Align with Quality Control to prioritize inspections.
• Optimize Inventory: Manage stocking levels and lot sizes with Inventory Planning.

As a Planning Specialist I with the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB) you will support the WPB Fulfillment team in our New Stanton, PA facility. You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of mechanical and breaker products that support the safety and reliability of nuclear plants worldwide. You will report to the Planning Manager. This is an anchor position that will be expected onsite 5 days a week for the first 6 months. Once through the training phase, you will have flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Track & Forecast: Monitor order progress and maintain accurate updates in the Westinghouse MRP system.
• Prioritize Smartly: Evaluate work requests, assign priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Support Production: Issue shop travelers and pick lists for in-house build projects.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Manufacturing Engineering, the Assistant Area Manager, and technicians to estimate labor and lead times for proposals.
• Coordinate Resources: Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to requisition materials and services.
• Ensure Quality: Align with Quality Control to prioritize inspections.
• Optimize Inventory: Work with Inventory Planning to manage stocking levels and lot sizes.

Qualifications

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $54,000.00 to $67,500.00 per year.
