Job summary

Karman Space & Defense, located in Washington, DC, seeks a Planning Manager to lead the Planning organization and ensure on-time delivery across programs and value streams. You will guide planning priorities, allocate resources, and drive continuous improvement in planning processes and ERP usage.

The role requires strong experience in manufacturing planning, ERP systems, and cross-functional collaboration to meet demanding defense program requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CPIM certification preferred.
• Six or more years of manufacturing experience.
• Three or more years of EPICOR ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Planning organization across Program Planning and Value Stream Planning to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coach and develop the Planning team and manage staffing and succession planning.
• Own and improve Planning processes and standards for consistency and accountability.
• Act as the functional owner for EPICOR ERP, ensuring data integrity and ongoing enhancements.
• Oversee production and program planning to meet customer and operations needs.
• Lead capacity and resource planning with Operations and Manufacturing to identify bottlenecks and future needs.
• Establish and monitor planning metrics and drive corrective actions for performance.
• Provide cross-functional leadership to align planning with business objectives across functions.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning efficiency, accuracy, standardization, and automation.
• Provide technical planning leadership for complex programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
