Job summary

PacSci is seeking a Planning Manager to lead site production planning teams in Hollister, CA. The role focuses on optimizing and synchronizing order flows from sales, shop floor and procurement, enabling best-in-class operations performance. The production planners and demand planner will report to this role.

The position is on-site in Hollister, CA, and emphasizes Lean and continuous improvement to drive reliable delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressively responsible experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., Automotive, Medical Device, Defense or Aerospace).
• 3+ years management experience required.
• Experience working with Enterprise Resource System systems.
• Demonstrated leadership of operational improvements and sustainment via lean manufacturing systems (TPS or equivalent).
• Experience working in a matrixed environment is preferred.
• Strong leader, communicator, and morale builder.
• Strong experience in strategic management, planning and execution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) process to drive stable long-term linearity while meeting the revenue plan.
• Address cost and schedule risks with counter measures and corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure customer requirements properly flow through system workflows.
• Set and maintain kanban replenishment at a cell/factory level.
• Ability to articulate and analyze inventory projections and meet a minimum of 3.5 turns.
• Lead team of assigned production planners to develop and execute to standard work.
• Leverage continuous improvement and standard work to optimize order flow performance.
• Hold team accountable with dashboards/Daily Management to timely action messages, resolve order flow problems, and support business and operation objectives.
