Job summary

Global Talent Resources, Inc is seeking a senior electrical engineer to design, manage, and support electric transmission, distribution, and substation projects in Lubbock. You will lead engineering efforts, coordinate with construction and operations teams, and work to improve reliability, safety, and performance of utility infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of experience, and a PE license in Texas.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
Four or more years of electric distribution engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
Valid Texas Driver's License.
Knowledge of utility transmission, distribution, and substation engineering.
Experience with CAD, GIS, SCADA, and engineering analysis software.

Responsibilities

Design and manage transmission, distribution, street lighting, and substation projects.
Perform system studies including load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, protection coordination, and transformer sizing.
Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Coordinate with construction, operations, customers, and stakeholders.
Support distribution, substation, planning, SCADA, communications, and NERC/CIP initiatives.
Supervise engineering staff and manage contracts.
Respond to system emergencies and support restoration efforts.
