Job summary

Tulsa County Organization Planning Services seeks an experienced planner to support zoning, development, and community planning efforts. You will research and analyze planning data, prepare staff reports, and assist with long-range projects and public engagement.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Planning (or related field) and have 3 years of experience in planning, zoning, or similar fields. Strong GIS and communication skills are required, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of urban, rural, regional, and environmental planning; zoning laws and land use regulations.
• Research, data analysis, map interpretation, and report writing skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply county codes and regulations; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review development applications, zoning cases, site plans for compliance with county regulations.
• Prepare staff reports, findings, recommendations, and presentations for boards and commissions.
• Maintain lot split and lot line adjustment files and GIS data.
