Job summary

The Global Edge Consultants LLC in Midland, TX is seeking a Planner/Scheduler I for a 3-month contract to plan and schedule maintenance and construction work. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, field personnel and internal teams to develop work plans, track progress and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities include creating WOs/POs, validating data, and ensuring data integrity in the SAP environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling, maintenance or construction environments.
• Oil and gas experience preferred but not required.
• SAP experience is preferred but training will be provided.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills highly preferred.

Duration: 3-month contract, with possible extension
Work Schedule: 9/80 (Mondays & Fridays work from home)
Interview Process: In-person interview with 2–3 team leads
Target Start Date: ASAP
Pay Range: $33/hr.
Job Description:
The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance and construction work activities. This role partners with project managers, engineers, field personnel, and internal teams to develop work plans, ensure data accuracy, track progress, and identify and mitigate risks. This position requires both technical planning skills and strong communication, as the individual will regularly engage with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and schedule maintenance and construction activities. Review and validate work notifications for accuracy and completeness. Create and manage work orders (WOs) and purchase orders (POs). Ensure data integrity and correct any discrepancies in the system. Support a specific maintenance and construction area within the SAP support structure. Participate in daily and weekly meetings with field proponents. Track work progress and provide status updates to stakeholders. Assist with reporting and overall coordination of work activities.
Required / Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in planning, scheduling, maintenance, or construction environments is preferred. Oil and gas industry experience is preferred but not required. SAP experience is preferred but not required, as company will provide training on internal SAP processes. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are highly preferred.
Soft Skills / Requirements:
Strong communication skills with a customer-service mindset are required. The candidate must be comfortable speaking and leading discussions in group settings, including MS Teams calls with 5–6 or more participants. Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams is essential. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is proactive in driving conversations and follow-ups.

This role is not limited to data entry. It requires active engagement with stakeholders, leading discussions on outstanding notifications, and ensuring work is properly planned and executed.
