Job summary

Liberty Diversified International (LDI) seeks a Planner Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules for our Becker, Minnesota paper roll stock operation. You will coordinate daily schedules with the End-to-End Planning Team, production, customer service, and sales to meet customer requirements and optimize plant operations.

The role requires 3+ years in production scheduling or related fields, basic Excel/Outlook/Word skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a 24/7

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance against schedules and close schedules on completion.
• Identify bottlenecks and collaborate to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate schedule updates with Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Planning.
• Serve as backup to Customer Service during absences.
• Follow safety and company policies.
• Maintain a positive work environment and communicate effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Planner Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules for paper roll stock manufacturing operations to support customer requirements and efficient plant operations . Working closely with the End-to-End (E2E) Planning Team, production, customer service, and sales, this role c oordinat es daily production schedules and adjusts plans as needed to address changes in demand, equipment availab ilit y , inventory levels, and customer requirements.

Liberty Paper operates in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and includes two lines of business: paper roll stock manufacturing and paper coating solutions. T h e role is responsible for scheduling activities supporting the paper roll stock manufacturing operation.

This position will report to the Director End-to-End Planning at our Liberty Paper location in Becker, Minnesota.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain production schedules using work orders, inventory levels, production requirements, customer needs, machine capabilities, and established inventory parameters, including min/max and safety stock levels.
• Schedule paper machine production activities and revise schedule s as needed to accommodate expedited customer needs , operation al feedback , equipment availability, or changing business requirements .
• Release production orders to manufacturing .
• Monitor production performance against schedule d plans and close schedule s upon completion.
• Identify scheduling constraints or bottlenecks, evaluate potential solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and minimize production disruptions.
• Communicate and coordinate schedule updates and changes with operations, customer service, sales, and planning teams.
• Serve as a backup to the Customer Service function during absences, vacations, or as business needs require .
• Follow and support company per son nel, quality, and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive work environment by communicating and collaborating effectively with coworkers and leadership.
• Recognize and report safety concerns and c onsistently practice safe work habits .
• Perform o ther duties as assigned .

REQUIRED EDUCATION , EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• High School Diplom a or equivalent.
• 3+ years of e xperience in production scheduling , manufacturing, customer service, supply chain, or a related role .
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain , Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing scheduling or production planning.
• Exposure to paper machine operations or paper manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with ERP, scheduling, or production planning systems.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

C O MPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $ 66,688 - $ 83,361 per year . The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
