Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission in Largo, MD seeks Planner II to join the Prince George’s County Planning Department. You’ll contribute to area master plans, sector plans, and zoning interpretations while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Planning or related field as stated.
• Two years of progressively responsible planning experience or related area.
• Equivalents may substitute education and experience total six years.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deputy project manager on community planning projects.
• Assist oversight of consultants and coordinate with project managers.
• Conduct planning studies, data collection, analysis and writing support.
• Prepare and present planning reports and materials to boards and councils.
• Develop land use policy and interpret zoning code; lead development discussions.
