Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Las Vegas is seeking a Production Planning professional to review orders, maintain schedules, and manage work orders in the ERP/MRP system. You will coordinate across manufacturing, warehousing, procurement, and engineering to ensure on-time material flow and production execution.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 0–2 years of experience, and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in production planning, materials, scheduling, inventory, procurement, or manufacturing operations.
• Basic understanding of work orders, bills of materials, inventory, lead times, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning transactions; strong Excel skills.
• Clear communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review customer orders, approved forecasts, backlog, and production priorities.
• Assist with maintaining daily and weekly production schedules using planning rules and data.
• Create, update, reschedule, and close work orders in the ERP/MRP system.
• Verify work order information and escalate discrepancies for correction.
• Run material availability and shortage reports and communicate risks before production starts.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Procurement, Engineering and Logistics to support scheduling.
• Monitor open work orders, WIP status, and on-time completion for assigned builds.
• Maintain planning trackers, shortage logs, and routine reports.
• Participate in production and shortage meetings and follow up on actions.
• Support new product introductions and planning process improvements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Review customer orders, approved forecasts, backlog, and production priorities for assigned products or work centers.
• Assist with maintaining daily and weekly production schedules using established planning rules and system data.
• Create, update, reschedule, and close work orders in the ERP/MRP system according to approved procedures.
• Verify basic work order information, including quantities, dates, revisions, routings, and bill of material data; elevate discrepancies for correction.
• Run material availability and shortage reports, track missing components, and communicate risks before scheduled production starts.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Procurement, Engineering, and Logistics to support material staging and schedule execution.
• Monitor open work orders, WIP status, past-due orders, and completion activity for assigned builds.
• Maintain accurate planning trackers, shortage logs, system notes, and routine daily or weekly reports.
• Participate in production and shortage meetings and follow up on assigned actions.
• Support new product introductions, inventory reviews, cycle-count research, and planning process improvements as assigned.
• Follow company policies, quality requirements, customer commitments, and site safety procedures.
• Perform other duties consistent with the general scope and level of the position, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Zero to two years of experience in production planning, materials, scheduling, inventory, procurement, or manufacturing operations.
• Basic understanding of work orders, bills of material, inventory, lead times, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with, or ability to learn, ERP/MRP systems and planning transactions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication, organization, follow-through, and willingness to elevate issues promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, PCBA, server, storage, networking, data center, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or new product introduction activities.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a combined office and manufacturing environment and may require time on the production floor or in warehouse areas.
• The role requires regular computer use and may include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, and attending meetings.
• Employees must follow site safety requirements and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.
• Business needs may occasionally require extended hours, evenings, weekends, or limited travel.
