Job Description

DEPARTMENT: Planning

POSITION ACCOUNTABLE TO: Customer Support Supervisor

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Prepare the step-by-step processing plan in the form of a job traveler document based on customer and specification requirements. The position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team in a fast –paced environment on a daily basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and understand Hixson Metal Finishing procedures (HPS’s)
• Understand and perform Contract Review process
• Understand Hixson Metal Finishing’s processing capabilities
• Work in accordance with customer and regulatory (i.e. FAA) requirements
• Correctly interpret customer PO requirements
• Read and understand specification requirements and verify this against customer requirements
• Read and understand drawing / blueprint requirements
• Interface with customers regarding questions relating to their purchase order requirements, missing information on PO etc.
• Prepare Job Travelers
• Prepare and maintain frozen process procedures
• Prepare certifications
  
  

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

• Proficient in English both written and oral
• Familiar with process specifications in related industry (preferred)
• AS9100D Requirements (preferred)
• Nadcap Chemical Processing (preferred)
  
  

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Intermediate computer skills
• Good communication skills (both written and oral)
• Good customer service skills
  
  

EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• High School Diploma
