Job summary

Bombardier in Hartford, CT is seeking a Planner Aircraft Services to support aircraft maintenance planning and scheduling. You will create work packages, coordinate resources, and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure timely, accurate delivery of service packages.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in an aircraft maintenance environment, strong planning skills, and familiarity with SAP/Maximo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• A&P Certificate or FCC License
• Experience in aircraft maintenance planning/scheduling, proposal writing, and/or invoice analysis
• Experience with SAP, Maximo, and/or Pivotal
• Basic knowledge of applicable FAA regulations (e.g., Part 91/121/135/145)

Responsibilities

• Adhere to General Work Requirements
• Research and administer special programs (e.g., warranty, Smart Parts, open delivery items)
• Work with customers to clarify requirements and meet expectations
• Create project flow charts and management tools for aircraft visits
• Determine resource availability and coordinate with providers to protect Master Schedule
• Create aircraft work packages including materials, tooling and manpower
• Attend customer debrief (or pre-induct) prior to aircraft arrival
• Input data into systems as required
• Maintain and develop aircraft model specific technical information (airframe, engine, avionics, paint/interior)
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Material Support, Labs, Vendors, and Line Service for data for invoices

What are your contributions to the team?

• Maintain and assist in development of aircraft model specific technical information, for example airframe, engine, avionics, and paint / interior
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments such as Maintenance, Material Support, Labs, Vendors, and Line Service to gather work package data for invoice

• You have 2 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance environment
• You have the computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, project, e-mail, and web-based applications
• You have the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, customers, management, and contractor
• You have planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting with rapidly changing priorities

Additional Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• A&P Certificate or FCC License
• Previous experience in aircraft maintenance planning and scheduling, proposal writing, and/or invoice analysis
• Previous experience with SAP, Maximo, and/or Pivotal
• Basic knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example, part 91, 121, 135, and 145
• Basic knowledge of process for producing Airworthiness Directives
