Job summary

The Town of Plymouth, New Hampshire is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Planner 1 to join our municipal planning team. This role reports to the Director of Planning & Economic Development and involves reviewing development applications, interpreting land use regulations, and conducting planning-related research.

Town of Plymouth, New Hampshire – Planner 1

The Town of Plymouth, New Hampshire is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to serve as Planner 1.

This position serves under the direction of the Director of Planning & Economic Development. The Planner 1 reviews development applications, interprets and applies land use regulations, and conducts planning-related research. This role is responsible for preparing reports, recommendations, and supporting documentation, as well as responding to inquiries from applicants, property owners, municipal staff, and the general public.

Additionally, the Planner 1 provides essential professional staff support to municipal land use boards. The successful candidate will exercise independent judgment in executing assigned responsibilities, while consulting with the Planning Director on complex, sensitive, regulatory, or policy-related matters.
