Job Title: Planner

Location: Merritt Island, FL

Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Industry: IT Services and IT Consulting

Compensation: $36.00/hr.

Schedule: 40 hours/week

About the Opportunity:

  • The Planner is responsible for developing and coordinating production workflow for multiple projects in accordance with customer requirements.
  • The Planner collaborates with multiple departments to create job orders, requisition materials, and coordinate the necessary documentation for release to production.

What You'll Do:

  • Review customer requirements including material and processing specifications, and all other applicable information.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, CAD designs, specifications, and all other applicable flowed down documents.
  • Create and maintain accurate job orders for manufactured parts and assemblies.
  • Communicates and coordinates across multiple groups in the organization to support on time delivery.
  • Monitor and expedite incoming materials and material shortage/replenishment as needed.
  • Creates, monitors, and maintains jobs within schedule and budget.
  • Executes flow of non-conforming material from the shop floor, and coordinate/communicate with applicable departments per company's processes, procedures, and Quality System.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), as necessary.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as AS9100 and ISO standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing initiatives as needed and assigned.
  • Represent the mission, values and culture of the company on the day-to-day actions.
  • Perform additional assignments or duties as assigned by manager.
Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace metal contract manufacturing environment (for US Government Prime contractors).

What Sets You Apart:

  • Associate Degree.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, production planning software, and data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent organizational skills to develop and manage complex production schedules.
  • Effective communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Strong ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Must be able to adapt to various working conditions.
  • Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of metal machining, welding, metal-finishing, fabrication, and general assembly experience.
