Job summary

Phillips and Temro Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Planner to develop and maintain production plans for assigned product families, balancing customer demand with capacity. You will handle planning and buying for materials, and communicate schedule changes to all stakeholders across functions.

In this role, you’ll use SAP and other inputs to optimize inventory, support Lean initiatives, and drive cost reductions.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years in a manufacturing planning environment.
• ERP experience required; SAP preferred.
• APICS/PMAC certification preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans for assigned product families balancing demand and capacity.
• Perform planning and buying for assigned purchased materials.
• Communicate schedule changes to customer service, production, purchasing, logistics and warehouse.
• Utilize SAP outputs, sales data and supplier inputs for planning and procurement.
• Support Lean activities to reduce waste in scheduling and materials flow.
• Optimize inventory to improve on-time delivery and meet FY targets.
• Coordinate and schedule other PTI locations.
• Contribute to cost reductions and Supply Chain initiatives.
• Ensure planning supports lean/visual manufacturing.
• Maintain effective inter-department communication.
• Perform other duties; maintain IATF16949 records; track premium freight; assist in vendor sourcing.

Description

RESPONSIBIITIES AND DUTIES:

• Develop and maintain production plan for assigned product families, balancing customer demands and production capacity.


• Perform planning and buying responsibilities for assigned purchased materials.


• Ensure timely communication of schedule changes to all impacted parties including customer service, production, purchasing, logistics and the warehouse.


• Utilize all inputs possible to the planning and procurement process – SAP outputs, intrinsic sales data, field reports from QA and Purchasing, observed supplier performance, production-related data, etc.


• Actively support Lean activities as they apply to scheduling work and materials – look for ways to eliminate waste wherever it occurs in the supply/production chain.


• Optimize inventory to achieve FY targets and improve customer on-time delivery performance.


• Coordinate and schedule other PTI locations.


• Help drive cost reductions and Supply Chain initiatives.


• Ensure that planning activities fully support lean/visual manufacturing concept.


• Maintain efficient communication with inter-departmental personnel.


• Perform other duties as required, e.g.:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience


• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing planning environment.


• ERP experience required; SAP preferred.


• APICS or PMAC certification preferred


• Computer skills with high proficiency in MS Office and ERP (SAP preferred)

Base Pay Range: $65k - $80k
