Job summary

Bilfinger is seeking a Construction Planner/Scheduler to join our heavy industrial team. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain detailed project schedules, define scope and resources with project managers, and ensure on-time completion of industrial construction activities.

You will use Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project to monitor progress, coordinate with procurement and staffing, and support budget and risk-management efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, preferably in industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in industrial settings; PMP/CAPM is a plus.

Construction Planner

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Planner/Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring project efficiency and effectiveness through meticulous planning and scheduling of construction activities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in industrial projects, particularly in heavy industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, outlining key milestones and deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.

Scheduling:

• Create and update detailed construction schedules using software tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments to schedules as necessary to ensure timely completion.

Resource Management:

• Coordinate with procurement and staffing teams to ensure availability of materials and labor.
• Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Cost Management:

• Assist in budget development and cost estimation processes.
• Track project expenditures and report on financial performance against budget.

Risk Management:

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and update project plans accordingly.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Regularly communicate project status updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
• Facilitate meetings to discuss project schedules, progress, and any emerging issues.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with safety standards and corporate classifications.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure that work meets specified standards and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, preferably within industrial sectors (pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, etc.).
• Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in industrial settings.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
