Job summary

Primoris Gas Operations in Denver, CO is hiring a Plan and Profile Utility Locator to perform engineering locates for water, sewer, telecoms, cable, fiber, gas and power. The role includes coordinating with project teams, upholding safety standards, and supporting multiple divisions as needed.

The position is unionized with benefits including health insurance, apprenticeship and skilled training, and pension options. Competitive wage of $29.19/hour, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license for the state of primary work
• Solid communication skills and reasoning ability
• Fundamental understanding of locating concepts
• Ability to read and interpret utility maps and records
• Understanding of One Call System rules and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret locate ticket requests
• Ability to lift 25 pounds on a continuous basis
• Ability to work in outside-weather conditions
• PHMSA/FMSCA drug testing program participation

Responsibilities

• Performs safe and accurate underground utility locates (water, sewer, telecoms, cable, fiber, gas, power)
• Maintains high quality and quantity standards in locating work
• Prevents damage to customer facilities by following procedures
• Coordinates and manages assigned work volumes and supports other divisions as needed
• Represents the company professionally with contractors, vendors and customers
• Identifies elevated risks on unique construction projects and informs supervisor
• Follows company safety policies and field procedures
