Job summary

Daybright Financial is seeking an Associate Plan Administrator to oversee ongoing retirement plan administration, reconciliation, and compliance. You will handle employer and participant inquiries, ensure data integrity, and support regulatory compliance across Relius-based processes.

The role emphasizes process improvement, model updates, and timely plan design changes, with collaboration across internal teams and direct client interaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in benefit plan administration.
  • Experience with the Relius recordkeeping system is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retirement fund and model updates and how they apply to plan administration.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update retirement fund models and allocations in accordance with plan specifications and regulatory guidelines.
  • Facilitate investment model updates and investment changes requested by financial advisor strategists.
  • Process plan-level transactions, including valuation updates, vesting schedules, and forfeiture allocations.
  • Maintain plan records in Relius and other internal platforms, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor, analyze, and implement plan design changes based on employer requests and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employer groups, addressing inquiries and plan-related requests.
  • Research and resolve participant and employer issues while maintaining detailed case records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, participants, and internal stakeholders regarding plan operations.
  • Provide guidance on plan features, contribution limits, and fund/model updates.
  • Support employer onboarding by providing training and guidance on plan features, recordkeeping systems, and administrative processes to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance administrative processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure all plan operations adhere to compliance regulations and internal policies.
  • Participate in system enhancements, testing, and updates for Relius and other administrative platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and performance standards.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the Plan Administrator is responsible for the ongoing administration, reconciliation, and compliance of benefit plans, as well as handling employer and participant inquiries. This role ensures accuracy in plan processing, maintains data integrity, and supports compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a client-focused mindset. Proficiency in the Relius recordkeeping system and retirement fund administration. Additionally, this role will focus on process improvements and ensuring the seamless execution of employer-sponsored plans.

Key Responsibilities
