Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an attorney licensed to practice in Kansas or Missouri to support a plaintiff‑side commercial litigation practice. The role requires strong writing and research skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and other attorneys.

You will draft legal filings and memoranda, respond to written discovery, review documents, and assist with managing active litigation on contingent-fee and hourly bases, with in‑person work near downtown Kansas City.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in Kansas or Missouri
• At least 3 years of experience in litigation
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills
• Ability to interact confidently and professionally with clients and other attorneys
• Located within easy driving distance of downtown Kansas City, Missouri
• Some in-office work may be required

Responsibilities

• Draft legal filings
• Draft legal memoranda
• Draft and respond to written discovery
• Interact with and gather information from clients and potential clients
• Review documents
• Support the firm's active commercial litigation caseload as needed
• Handle matters primarily on the plaintiff's side, on contingent-fee and hourly bases
