Job summary

Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP is a trial law firm seeking a Plaintiff's Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal for our Manhattan, NY office. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in NY Personal Injury matters and familiarity with relevant procedures.

This full-time, in-office position supports our attorneys in all pre-litigation tasks. Responsibilities include interviewing clients, opening No-Fault and Bodily Injury claims, reviewing medical records, and coordinating client

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience as Plaintiff's Personal Injury Paralegal in New York.
Familiar with New York personal injury case procedures including motor vehicle, premises liability and negligence.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial client interviews and gather case information.
Open No-Fault and Bodily Injury Claims and manage related applications and letters.
Order and review medical records and summarize for attorney review.
Coordinate and monitor client treatment.
Perform pre-litigation investigations (OPRA requests; surveillance notices).
Submit lien inquiries and obtain final lien amounts.
Draft Settlement Demand packages.
Assist attorneys with Pre-litigation settlement procedures.
Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates.
