This role involves managing appeals, drafting persuasive legal briefs, presenting oral arguments, and collaborating with trial teams to ensure strategic alignment and success in appellate cases.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of appellate cases, including legal research, drafting briefs, and motions practice.
• Present oral arguments before state and federal appellate courts.
• Provide on-site trial support to attorneys during courtroom proceedings.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys to review substantive legal motions and filings, including summary judgment and post-judgment matters.
• Develop and execute effective litigation and appellate strategies.
• Stay informed on developments and trends in appellate law.
• Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in appellate litigation, preferably in plaintiff-focused cases.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Effective oral advocacy skills, with experience presenting in appellate courts.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Commitment to ethical legal practice and client advocacy.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
