Job summary

System One is seeking a PlainID IAM Engineer to support identity and access management in a large-scale financial environment. The role focuses on PlainID service onboarding, policy-based authorization, and migration to a SaaS platform in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities include configuring PlainID environments, testing and production support, collaborating with application, security and business teams, and assisting in AWS-based onboarding and migrations.

This position is required in one of the following locations in Hybrid mode: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Columbia, SC, Birmingham, AL.

Responsibilities

• Support identity and access management (IAM) services within a large-scale financial environment, focusing on PlainID service onboarding and policy-based authorization


• Configure and troubleshoot PlainID environments, ensuring seamless migration to SaaS platform


• Assist in testing, analysis, and production support activities related to IAM systems


• Collaborate with application, security, and business teams to understand requirements and resolve access issues


• Support application onboarding and migration activities, especially within AWS-based enterprise environments


• Troubleshoot IAM and authorization issues in production environments, employing strong problem-solving skills

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with PlainID and policy‑based authorization/access control


• Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and enterprise security practices


• Experience supporting application or service onboarding, testing, analysis, and production support


• Knowledge of authorization technologies such as OPA (Open Policy Agent) and Amazon Cedar


• Familiarity with Ping Identity and SailPoint


• Experience supporting or migrating IAM/security services to SaaS or cloud platforms


• Working knowledge of AWS environments and cloud security concepts


• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills for production IAM and authorization issues


• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams to resolve access‑related issues


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
