Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a PL/SQL Developer in Plano, Texas to join an Agile software team. You will write Oracle SQL/PLSQL, build data APIs, tune performance, and maintain batch jobs with Informatica and Autosys.

Experience with ATDD, CI/CD, and cloud tech (Snowflake, S3) is a plus. You will collaborate with global developers and contribute to high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience writing Oracle SQL and PLSQL code, performing data analysis, data modelling, designing and implementation of data APIs and performance tuning.
• 3+ years experience writing and maintaining batch jobs with ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
• 5+ years experience in fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.
• 5+ years experience following ATDD and writing automated tests for database code.
• 5+ years experience working in an Agile software delivery environment with CI/CD tools.

We are currently seeking a PL/SQL Developer to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Function/Day to Day

• Expertise writing Oracle SQL and PLSQL code, performing data analysis, data modelling, designing and implementation of data APIs and performance tuning.
• Expertise writing and maintaining batch jobs with technologies like ETL/Informatica and Autosys
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Experience following ATDD (acceptance test driven development) and writing automated tests for database code.
• Experience with cloud technologies is a bonus: Snowflake, S3
• Interest in writing clean, testable, readable, easily maintainable, and performance code.
• Knowledge of mid-tier technologies like Java, messaging technologies, web containers and understanding how they interact with data.
• Comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• Ability to translate storyboards and use cases into applications gives a strategic edge with critical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of CI / CD processes & tools and are passionate about delivering high quality software.
• Providing leadership guidance, mentorship to empower team members to their optimum performance levels and career potential.
• You will actively contribute to the code base while actively collaborating with multi-subject area team members and customers. You'll use your critical thinking skills to translate storyboards and use cases into applications that gives a strategic edge.

The Value You Deliver

You will design and implementation of software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements and that are aligned to the program's strategic direction.

You will lead application design efforts, participate in design reviews, and code reviews.

Fully engaging in product quality plan efforts, including test case development, design and code reviews and regression testing aiming to automate majority of them.

Contribute to enhancing engineering practice in the areas of ATDD and CI/CD.

Engaging in working with global team of developers in leading standard methodologies for software engineering

Required Qualifications

• NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $38-$48/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
• Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
