Job summary

VDart Inc. in Plano, TX is seeking a PL/SQL Developer for a contract role onsite. The position requires strong Oracle SQL and PLSQL, data analysis, data modelling, and development of data APIs with performance tuning.

You will work in an Agile environment with CI/CD, ATDD, and batch jobs using ETL/Informatica and Autosys, with cloud tech like Snowflake/S3 as a bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience writing Oracle SQL and PLSQL code, performing data analysis, data modelling, designing and implementation of data APIs and performance tuning.
• 3+ years' experience writing and maintaining batch jobs with ETL/Informatica and Autosys.
• 5+ years' experience in fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.
• 5+ years' experience following ATDD and writing automated tests for database code.
• 5+ years' experience working in an Agile software delivery environment with CI/CD tools.
• 5+ years' experience with cloud technologies - Snowflake, S3

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements and align to the program's direction.
• Lead application design efforts, participate in design reviews and code reviews.
• Engage in test case development, design and code reviews and regression testing to automate them.
• Contribute to ATDD and CI/CD engineering practices.
• Collaborate with a global team of developers using standard software engineering methodologies.

Type: Contract

Job Function/Day to Day:

• Expertise writing Oracle SQL and PLSQL code, performing data analysis, data modelling, designing and implementation of data APIs and performance tuning.
• Expertise writing and maintaining batch jobs with technologies like ETL/Informatica and Autosys
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Experience following ATDD (acceptance test driven development) and writing automated tests for database code.
• Experience with cloud technologies is a bonus: Snowflake, S3
• Interest in writing clean, testable, readable, easily maintainable, and performance code.
• Knowledge of mid-tier technologies like Java, messaging technologies, web containers and understanding how they interact with data.
• Comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• Ability to translate storyboards and use cases into applications gives a strategic edge with critical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of CI / CD processes & tools and are passionate about delivering high-quality software.
• Providing leadership guidance, mentorship to empower team members to their optimum performance levels and career potential.
• You will actively contribute to the code base while actively collaborating with multi-subject area team members and customers. You'll use your critical thinking skills to translate storyboards and use cases into applications that gives a strategic edge.
