Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers, constraints).
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions for business logic and ETL.
• Support data modeling activities, including logical/physical models and normalization.
• Lead data migration and data conversion tasks for new implementations and upgrades.
• Develop and consume web services (SOAP/REST) for data integrations between systems.
• Analyze data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, DBAs, and vendors on performance tuning and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot data issues and implement corrective solutions.

  • This position is for a senior level Application Data Developer with 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications. The Data Developer will work within an Oracle database environment and serve as a core member of a team of technology professionals supporting agency applications and data services.
  • The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database structures, PL/SQL code, and data integrations that enable secure, efficient, and accurate data flow across assigned systems. This includes active participation in both project and maintenance activities, providing technical leadership for data related tasks such as data modeling, ETL development, and integration of agency specific data into vendor hosted solutions.
  • The individual will collaborate closely with Data Architects, Database Administrators, application support staff, and vendors to create, test, deploy, and optimize data structures and processes. A high degree of technical proficiency, problem solving ability, and independent judgment is expected. The position may report to a project lead, project manager, or manager.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning, estimation, documentation, and technical design sessions for both new projects and ongoing maintenance efforts.
