Job summary

Information Security Corporation is hiring for a software quality assurance position in the Chicago metro area, with potential remote work. The role targets candidates who live in Chicagoland or the Washington, DC area and offers a salary between $80,000 and $100,000 per year.

The position requires U.S. citizenship, a clear background check, and at least 3 years of technical customer experience, plus a bachelor's degree. Remote work options may be available.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and a clear background check are required; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
• Deep knowledge of PKI and security concepts; substantial experience administering PKI software on Windows and Linux.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal teams and customers.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities for hardware and software performance issues.
• Familiarity with configuring hardware security modules (HSMs).
• Experience administering Apache Tomcat and Red Hat JBoss, including TLS troubleshooting.
• Experience with database setup/management (Oracle, HSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco/Aruba networking equipment.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux usage/administration.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of customer-facing technical experience.
• Knowledge of ISC products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple software projects and provide off-site customer support.
• Collaborate with local support, sales, and R&D, plus Oak Park, Illinois headquarters staff.
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, networking, and security domains.
• Administer and configure PKI software and related systems on Windows and Linux.
• Configure and support HSMs, application servers, databases, and networking devices as needed.
