Job description

PKI Network Engineer

Design and build secure systems for Marine Corps clients, ensuring defenses against advanced cyber threats. Provide technical leadership and support across multiple classified, unclassified, and tactical forests.

Responsibilities
  • Perform PKI Tier II troubleshooting on Marine Corps systems related to cryptographic logon, certificate validation, and domain‑controller certificates.
  • Provide hardware and software technical support to operate, troubleshoot, and scale three separate forests.
  • Assist in the development, deployment, and configuration of Certificate Authority (CA) infrastructure and Certificate Validation Infrastructure (CVI).
  • Leverage PKI subject‑matter expertise to resolve issues within Marine Corps networks in collaboration with other service providers, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design support personnel.
  • Contribute to critical network‑design decisions, tailoring solutions to balance security with mission requirements.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience with IT systems administration or network engineering.
  • Experience with MS Windows Server 2019 or later, PowerShell scripting, VMWare, SAN, CISCO and Juniper switching, load balancing, HSM, Active Directory, Axway, OCSP, Unix or Linux, and server hardware.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Security+ CE or IAT Level II Certification.
  • Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including tactical PKI training.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) architecture and PKI integration points.
  • Knowledge of BMC Remedy.
  • CASP or CISSP Certification.
  • MCSA Certification in Windows Server 2008 or later.
Clearance

Applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required; Top Secret clearance is preferred.

Compensation

Salary range: $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits; paid leave; tuition assistance; work‑life programs; and dependent care. Full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for benefit programs.
