Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a PKI Systems Administrator to advance enterprise IT maturity. You will manage PKI systems, administer digital certificates, and enforce PKI policies in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong PKI knowledge, CA/RA/HSM experience, scripting skills in PowerShell or Python, and a minimum of five years of related work. Onsite location in Washington, DC, with DoD/clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or related field; experience may substitute education.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of public/private key cryptography and digital certificates.
• Hands-on experience managing certificate authorities (CAs), registration authorities (RAs), and hardware security modules (HSMs).
• Experience with PKI tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of industry standards and protocols (X.509, TLS/SSL, OCSP, CRLs).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and monitor all PKI systems and infrastructure.
• Administer and manage digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, and revocation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PKI-related issues promptly.
• Develop and enforce PKI-related policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Conduct periodic audits of PKI environments for reliability.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of PKI configuration and workflows.
