Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research in Pittsburgh seeks a Manager, Pharmacokinetic Lab to oversee PK operations, SOPs, and staff development. You will supervise PK lab activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate study materials with sponsors and US sites.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in a lab science, 5+ years of lab experience, and strong quality-management skills. The role involves hiring, training, and maintaining study documentation to support early-phase trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• At least five years laboratory setting experience.
• Quality management skills including personnel management, financial management and process management.
• Experience with electronic medical record programs and laboratory information systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the processing of samples by PK Lab Technicians and take corrective action for data inconsistencies.
• Create and annually review SOPs for PK Department and Tumor Bank; train staff on PK SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws for sample processing, handling, and shipping; maintain files.
