The Hockaday School seeks a visionary Director of Fine Arts to lead its PK–12 arts program. You will provide strategic, curricular, and programmatic leadership for visual and performing arts, journalism, and other designated programs, while collaborating with School leadership to align with mission and values.

You will oversee faculty, budgets, and facilities, teach as needed, and maintain strong ties with students and classrooms, promoting creativity, collaboration, and rigorous arts education.

Formación

• Advanced degree in arts or education and credentials appropriate for school leadership.
• Significant teaching experience in fine arts across at least one discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership in an arts department or school setting.
• Experience with curriculum development, program evaluation, and curricular alignment.
• Ability to mentor faculty, manage budgets, and lead multiple programs.
• A student-centered approach and strong collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project-management skills.
• Commitment to equitable advocacy for all arts disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a unified voice for PK–12 Fine Arts across visual and performing arts.
• Develop and advance a cohesive PK–12 arts vision aligned with mission and priorities.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, schedule coordination, and program evaluation.
• Lead curricular development and cross-divisional collaboration.
• Support performances, exhibitions, concerts, and publications.
• Teach Fine Arts courses as needed and stay connected to classrooms.
• Build partnerships with external arts organizations and colleges.
