Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to train others on use of scales and visual standards.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Understanding of food safety and HACCP principles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures scales are properly set up in Red Zone and verified before start-up of each shift.
• Performs frequent visual product reviews to ensure proper topping distribution and coverage.
• Takes corrective action when product does not meet photo standards or target weights.
• Ensures photo standards are accurate, available, and displayed for each changeover.
• Confirms employees are trained on visual quality requirements (crust, sauce, cheese, toppings).
• Communicates quality issues with Line Leads, Ingredient Controllers, Area Leads, Supervisors, and Quality Auditors.
• Oversees and verifies topping and product weights in both processing and packaging areas.
• Conducts metal detection checks, code date reviews, and inkjet print verification.
• Audits documentation to confirm all forms are complete and accurate.
• Audits changeovers to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Applies understanding of HACCP principles and Palermo’s CCP procedures.
• Ensures WIP product and totes are properly identified, stacked, and labeled.
• Supports or backs up the Line Lead when needed, including training, machine setup/adjustments, monitoring Red Zone, and assisting with Visual Performance Boards.
• Maintains equipment functionality (iPad, scales, carts, Bluetooth accessories, etc.).
