Job summary

Triple T Hospitality’s Tommy's Tavern + Tap Morris Plains is seeking a Pizza Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare dough, assemble pizzas with various toppings, and operate pizza ovens to support high-volume pizza production.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll ensure consistency and quality, follow recipes and portion control, and maintain a clean, organized pizza station. Standing for long periods and lifting may be required, with opportunities to train new staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
• Basic knowledge of pizza preparation techniques including dough handling, topping assembly, and oven operation.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistency and quality in pizza preparation, baking, and presentation.
• Follow portion control guidelines for dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings to minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station and ovens.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the pizza preparation and baking stations.
• Monitor pizza ingredients inventory levels and report shortages to the Assistant Kitchen Manager.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure proper stock and quality of pizza ingredients.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, especially regarding dough handling and oven operation.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff members.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.

The Pizza Cook will be responsible for preparing pizza dough, assembling pizzas with various toppings, operating pizza ovens, and ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in pizza preparation. This role is integral in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.
