Mattenga’s Pizzeria in Texas is seeking a Shift Lead to help run daily operations, support the team, and ensure guests have a great experience. You’ll lead the team during your shift, safeguard food quality and cleanliness, and help manage opening, closing, and transitions.

Compensation is $15.00–$16.00 per hour including tips. Benefits include dental and health insurance, employee discount, flexible schedule, paid training, and free food.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience in a team setting.
• Texas Food Handler’s Certificate or Food Manager cert.
• Open availability including evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation to multiple locations across TX.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership:-Oversee daily shift operations, including opening, closing, and shift transitions-Maintain food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant-Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management-Ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly
• Team Support & Supervision:-Guide and support team members during the shift-Delegate tasks effectively to maintain workflow and efficiency-Train new employees on procedures, system, and customer service expectations-Address minor performance or customer issues in real time
• Customer Service:-Greet customers and ensure a welcoming, friendly environment-Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly-Maintain a high standard of hospitality, whether dine‑in, takeout, or delivery

Required Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze situations critically and develop effective solutions
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast‑paced environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Food Handler or Food Manager certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with restaurant management systems and POS software
• Familiarity with basic inventory management
