Since 2009, Maxs Coal Oven Pizzeria has offered authentic, New York style pizza, classic salads, pastas, Italian sandwiches, signature coal oven wings and freshly made desserts. One of our signature features is that we have the only genuine coal-burning oven in Georgia, enabling us to serve perfectly crisp pizzas, and create a unique taste and texture that has been a hallmark of New York City pizzerias for more than a century.
Here at Maxs, were all about the pizza. Weve created the perfect dough which we top with our secret recipe red sauce, mozzarella, classic meats and fresh vegetables. From sausage and pepperoni to peppers and onions, Maxs offers options to meet everyones palette.

- Prepare breads or doughs
- Prep all ingredients for our scratch kitchen
- Properly store supplies or goods in kitchens or storage areas
- Equipped with proper uniform and hygiene standards
- Able to manage multiple simultaneous processes - Dough making, ingredient preparation to cooking pizza in coal oven
- Maintain food, beverage, or equipment inventories
- Prepare both cold and hot foods for service
- Coordinate timing of food production activities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Job Qualifications
- Coal or Wood Fire Pizza experience is not a must but very helpful
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Must maintain a clean work station in our open kitchen from ceiling to floor
- Ability to work long hours on feet during peek periods
- Must have flexible availability
- Be able to lift 50 lbs

Customer and Personal Service Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Food Production Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growing, and harvesting food products (both plant and animal) for consumption, including storage/handling techniques.
Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
