Job summary

Avvio Millbury, part of Newport Restaurant Group, is hiring a Pizza Cook for a scratch-kitchen. You’ll hand-stretch dough, prep sauces and toppings, and build pizzas in a bustling setting that values quality and consistency.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for food, strong organization, and the ability to stay focused during busy times. Nights, weekends, and holidays required; training begins in September.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of pizza cook or scratch-kitchen experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of dough handling, oven operation, and kitchen safety/sanitation standards.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Hand-stretch and shape dough to order — this is a scratch kitchen, so prep dough, sauce, and toppings every shift.
• Build and bake pizzas with precision and consistency, pie after pie
• Manage oven timing and temperature so every pie comes out right
• Keep your station clean, stocked, and moving
• Work alongside a team that has each other’s backs during the rush

WHO YOU ARE

You don’t need a culinary degree or be a celebrity chef to thrive here. You do need:

• A genuine passion for food and a desire to keep getting better
• The ability to stay organized and focused when the tickets are coming in hot
• A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit
• Prior pizza-making or scratch-kitchen experience is a plus — but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will take you far

QUALIFICATIONS

On paper, you bring:

• 1+ years of pizza cook or scratch-kitchen experience preferred
• Working knowledge of dough handling, oven operation, and kitchen safety/sanitation standards
