Job summary

A.C.Coy Company in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an onsite Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data systems supporting analytics and business intelligence. You will work across the data pipeline lifecycle, from ETL/ELT and modeling to query development and data quality, partnering with engineering and leadership on data strategy.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Pittsburgh, PA.
• 3 to 5 years of Data Engineering experience.
• Snowflake experience with schema design, warehouse sizing, clustering, time travel, cost management.
• dbt core production experience with modular models, macros, packages, incremental materialization.
• ELT experience.
• Configure and operate Airbyte, Fivetran for multi-source ingestion.
• Data Warehouse/Data Lakes experience including Azure/Cloud.
• Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage, and DevOps pipelines.
• Strong Python for data sync, API clients, and FastAPI.
• Reporting tools Tableau or PowerBI.
• Education: Degree required; if no degree, then 7+ years.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data models across platforms.
• Build data warehouses and optimize cloud-based storage (Azure/AWS).
• Develop SQL queries and stored procedures for multiple relational engines.
• Implement big data systems with Hive, Spark, and Hadoop ecosystem tools.
• Collaborate to integrate linked data sources and ensure data flow consistency.
• Support BI dashboards with Looker or equivalent tools and ensure data quality.
• Participate in Agile cycles and contribute to analytics initiatives.
• Support model training and analytics tasks as needed.
