Job summary

Lab37 Robotics in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring for a role owning the cloud platform infrastructure powering our robotics fleet. You will build scalable ML infra, ETL pipelines, and CI/CD workflows that transform raw telemetry into actionable analytics, while enabling data scientists and kitchen teams to train and deploy models with minimal friction.

You will collaborate with cloud and embedded engineers, implement model checkpointing and metadata systems, and drive observability and cost

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud infra, MLOps and data engineering experience at scale.
• Experience with model checkpointing, registries, and metadata management.
• Experience with Argo Workflows, Airflow or Prefect and cloud storage architectures.
• Proven track record building self-service ML platforms and automated developer workflows.
• Experience collaborating with embedded engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ML infrastructure for lab robotics data pipelines.
• Implement automated model checkpointing, metadata management, and experiment tracking across distributed training runs.
• Create self-service ML workflows and tooling for ML engineers and data scientists.
• Build and maintain automated ETL/data ingestion pipelines from robotics telemetry for training and analytics.
• Contribute to IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD automation for model deployment and data processing.
• Collaborate with cloud and embedded engineers to deploy models to robot fleets and participate in on-call rotations.
• Monitor performance and optimize cloud compute costs.
