Description

The Pitching Coach for the Softball Program will support the Head Coach and provide guidance to enhance the players' academic and athletic experience. Responsibilities include assisting with defensive strategies and game management, as well as program development.

• Coordinate and assist the Head Coach in supervising pitching strategies for practices and games, and in program development.
• Follow policies outlined in The Lawrenceville School Coaches Handbook.
• Attend scheduled practices and athletic contests, and assist with game management.
• Participate in professional conferences and institutional meetings as required.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with coaching techniques.
• Promote diversity and cultural competency in all responsibilities, respecting all individuals regardless of protected characteristics.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years successful coaching experience at high school, college, club, or professional levels.
• Playing experience at college, US National, or International levels.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years coaching experience at high school or college level or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Effective communication skills with groups and individuals, maintaining professionalism and empathy.
• Ability to review and apply training materials and professional literature.
• Willingness to manage a Monday-Saturday schedule, including travel and potential Sundays.
