Description

SUMMARY:


Responsible for implementing, supervising, and ensuring all operations of table games and employee performances are in compliance with our mission and objectives and gaming regulations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:



  • Supervises the operation of specified amount of table games, Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Mini Baccarat, Big Six, on assigned shift.

  • Assists in the selection, training and evaluation of subordinate employees. Maintains the highest quality standards in all areas of guest service and hospitality and developing players.

  • Ensures that all games move at an appropriate pace. Maintains appropriate game spread, limits and staffing.

  • Makes recommendation and suggestions to Assistant Shift Manager to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign and discipline all table games employees on assigned shift in a fair and equitable manner.

  • Informs casino Shift Managers of all noteworthy, suspicious, or unusual activity. Facilitates the flow of information throughout the casino.

  • Coaches employees in his/her span of control to maintain and improve on expected levels of performance, promotion and productivity by using positive motivation.

  • Understands pit accounting procedures and administrative tasks i.e., fills, credits, marker transactions and responsibilities and monitors the same for floor people.

  • Maintains current knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, compact, etc.) and attendant regulations, as well as internal controls, policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Directly supervises all floor people; indirectly supervises all dealers.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) preferred with two to five years experience in casino operations required. Minimum of four years in table games preferred.


SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.


This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:


Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to write effective reports and memos. Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.


REASONING ABILITY:


Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
