We are seeking a Pit Loader Operator to join our team at Litchfield Quarry. As a Pit Loader Operator, you will operate a large loader to load haul trucks with stone that is then transported to the crusher. Preference will be given to candidates with experience operating heavy equipment, such as loaders.

Compensation

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Main Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and an excellent safety environment
• Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all equipment
• Complete daily inspections and maintenance checklist
• Participate in pre-shift safety huddles
• Responsible to follow all onsite MSHA and environmental requirements
• Perform routine maintenance and various equipment repairs as needed
• Responsible for reporting incidents and accidents to supervisors

Skills

• Ability to operate a large loader safely and efficiently
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced employees

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Able to work in wet and/or dry conditions and extreme heat and cold
