Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. in Holly Springs, NC, is seeking a Pit Loader Operator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated, operating a pit loader and maintaining stockpile quality while promoting site safety and leading truck movement onsite. Typical duties include daily inspections, safe operation around conveyors and crushers, and basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used processing plants.
• Six months experience operating a front-end loader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a pit loader within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections of working areas and ensure berms and roadways are adequate.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections and report repairs to the supervisor.
• Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushers.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on tires, oil, grease, diesel, hoses and moving parts.
• Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Operate other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks when needed.
• Assist in training coworkers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Martin Marietta is seeking a Pit Loader Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating aandnbsp;Pit Loader and maintaining the quality of product stockpiles. The pit loader will maintain safe working speeds and promote site safety by asserting leadership of truck drivers onsite.

Holly Springs, North Carolina

Hours: 6:30AM - 5PM, weekends as necessary

A typical day for a(n) Pit Loader Operator may include:

• Operating a pit loader within the company guidelines and safety standards
• Completing daily pre and post inspection of working areas and ensures they are equipped with adequate berms and roadways
• Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor
• Ensuring safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushers
• Performing daily preventative maintenance - tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper function
• Maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site
• Operating other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks in a safe manner as needed
• Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

You may be a good fit if you:

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plants
• Have six (6) months of experience in the operation and maintenance of a front-end loader (preferred)
