Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our fulfillment network. You will operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) like order pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to locate, retrieve, and store large pallets across our warehouses.

Training and certification for PIT are provided at no cost, with shifts available across early morning, daytime, evening, and overnight periods. Role emphasizes safety, hands-on use of PIT equipment, and adherence to site policies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Understand and follow instructions in the required language
• Lift up to 49 pounds
• View prompts on screens and follow directions for tasks
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Go up and down stairs where applicable
• Work in environments with varying temperatures and moving PIT equipment
• Operate PIT at heights up to 45 feet

Responsibilities

• Operate PIT — such as order pickers and reach trucks
• Use PIT to locate, retrieve, and store large pallets of items in their designated warehouse locations
• Handle large pallets of items through multiple warehouse processes, such as store and pick, while operating PIT
• Operate a stand-up forklift throughout your shift, maneuvering safely around other PIT equipment in motion
• Safely move items using carts, dollies, and pallet jacks while loading and unloading trailers
• Use handheld technology to track and maintain accurate inventory records
• Amazon provides all PIT training and certification for free, so no prior experience is required
