Job summary

Amazon is hiring Equipment Operators at the Petersburg, VA fulfillment center to operate power industrial trucks (PIT) and handle customer orders safely and efficiently. Training and certification are provided for free; starting pay is up to $21.50 per hour with a potential sign-on bonus of up to $1,000 for eligible hires.

Shifts include Day, Overnight and Weekend. Duties cover receiving, packing, loading, scanning, and ensuring quality while working at heights and around moving

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18 years or older and able to understand safety guidelines.
• No prior PIT experience required; Amazon trains and certifies you for free.
• Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inventory.
• Get customer orders ready and pack them.
• Load boxes into trucks for shipment.
• Use scanners to read bar codes on products.
• Operate PIT equipment like forklifts or pallet drivers.
