Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our Indiana-based fulfillment network. You will operate PIT equipment such as order pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to move pallets and support safe, efficient order fulfillment on a 24/7 schedule.

No prior PIT experience is required as Amazon provides free PIT training and certification. Shifts include Early Morning, Daytime, Evening, and Overnight, with full-time and part-time options and potential overtime based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Understand and follow instructions in the required language.
• Lift up to 49 pounds.
• View prompts on screens and follow directions for some tasks.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.
• Go up and down stairs where applicable.
• Work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving PIT equipment.
• Operate PIT at heights up to 45 feet.

Responsibilities

• Operate PIT — such as order pickers and reach trucks.
• Use PIT to locate, retrieve, and store large pallets of items in their designated warehouse locations.
• Handle large pallets of items through multiple warehouse processes, such as store and pick, while operating PIT.
• Operate a stand‑up forklift throughout your shift, maneuvering safely around other PIT equipment in motion.
• Safely move items using carts, dollies, and pallet jacks while loading and unloading trailers.
• Use handheld technology to track and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Amazon provides all PIT training and certification for free, so no prior experience is required.
