Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Warehouse Laborer to support efficient warehouse operations. You will label products, replenish inventory, stage orders, and operate equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This role requires safe handling, adherence to procedures, and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, with ability to lift up to 100 lbs and use scanners.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills for inventory counts and following instructions.
• Attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory handling.
• Teamwork to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Time management to complete tasks by deadlines.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts (may require certification), or RF scanners.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate pallet jacks (manual and walkie) to transport, stage, and stock products throughout the warehouse.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 100 lbs frequently; perform labeling, stacking, and securing of products on pallets.
• Accurately attach labels, including translated labels for international shipments, ensuring compliance with destination requirements.
• Replenish flagged slots, stock pick slots, rotate dated products, and assist with inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Locate and return cooler/freezer items to proper storage locations after check-in, maintaining organization and accuracy.
• Use scanners or wearable computers to record product placement and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
• Perform duties in varying warehouse conditions, including cold storage, with extended periods of standing, bending, and walking.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, follow instructions, maintain a clean work area, and work weekend shifts as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position Purpose

Warehouse Laborer is to support efficient warehouse operations by performing a variety of tasks including product labeling, inventory replenishment, order staging, and equipment operation. This role ensures accurate product handling, labeling, and placement while maintaining safety, organization, and productivity standards in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
